One meal, one sentence

Logging a meal by search means one search for every food in it. By voice, the whole meal is one sentence and a few seconds. The difference is biggest on meals with many parts, like breakfast.

Grammar, not AI

“I had two eggs and a slice of toast” is a regular sentence: a number, a unit, a food and a few connecting words. Dietoria splits it with a rule-based parser rather than a language model.

That has three consequences. The parser only returns words you actually said, so it cannot add a food you never mentioned. The same sentence always gives the same result. And because it costs nothing per use, voice logging is free for everyone.

Where your voice goes

Your speech is turned into text on the device, by your phone's own speech recognition. If your phone has no offline language pack for your language, the system recogniser is used instead and the screen tells you so. Your recording is not sent to our servers.

Which languages does it support?

Turkish and English. Dietoria uses the app's language, not your phone's.

Is my recording stored?

No. Your speech is transcribed on the device; the recording is not sent to our servers.

What if it mishears me?

You see every item and its amount before saving. You can change the food or the amount, or remove anything extra.
